In 2018, Latin America Power requested an expert review service by BRASS applied to the water in-take pipelines at the Carilafquen hydroelectric plant. The goal was to verify the projected design and its overall compliance during the construction phase, contrasting it with As-Built information. This verification aimed to determine if the water in-take system could continue operating and estimate its remaining service life span before the requirement of pipeline replacement. Additionally, reports provided by other consultants to LAP concerning the pipeline’s service lifespan were reviewed, and technical opinions and considerations were offered.
