In 2007, Compañia Minera Doña Inés de Collahuasi commissioned BRASS for the development of on-site engineering, procurement, construction management, commissioning, and startup for copper concentrate transportation capacity expansion through the 8″ slurry pipeline system upgrade. The project’s objective was to increase the capacity of the slurry pipeline, primarily achieved by replacing the existing 7″ pipeline sections with new 8″ sections, while also enhancing and flexibilizing pressure dissipation capacity in the intermediate valve stations.
