In 2011, Minera Los Pelambres commissioned BRASS to carry out an evaluation service to determine the condition of the HDPE lining in areas near flanges and spools between 60 km and 92 km. A technical inspection campaign was conducted which involved gathering information about the existing threadolets in this section, as well as recording acoustic ultrasound patterns. This activity is a continuation of the campaign previously conducted in section 5B of the concentrate transport system (CTS), between 92 km and 120 km.
