In 2008, the construction company BELFI S.A. commissioned BRASS to develop detailed engineering for the Hierro Atacama – Concentrate Pipeline Project, owned by Compañía Minera del Pacífico (CMP). This project involves the reprocessing of tailings from Minera Candelaria to obtain 68% iron concentrate and transported from the Magnetite Plant to the facilities at Puerto Punta Totoralillo, located 25 km north of Caldera, using a high pressure steel pipeline with an approximate length of 120 km.
