In 2019, Minera Chinalco S.A. commissioned BRASS to carry out a detailed engineering service for the tailings transportation system of the Toromocho Expansion Project (TEP). The project goal was to increase the processing capacity of the concentrator plant by upgrading the tailings pumping system with 6 positive displacement pumps, and a new 7 km, 22” tailings pipeline.
