During the year 2023, BRASS has been developing a Pipeline Integrity Management Service for TECK. The project includes:
1. Conducting an initial gap analysis of the fluid transport systems designed and constructed for QB2, identifying deviations and improvements to maintain operational control and system integrity.
2. Developing a robust and comprehensive Pipeline Integrity Management System, leveraging BRASS’s expertise to achieve short-term results.
3. Identifying critical threats and vulnerabilities for each system through the development process of the Pipeline Integrity Management System.
4. Performing a risk assessment for all identified threats to prioritize their attention and control by identifying those that are most critical.
5. Selecting preventive and mitigating controls for all identified threats, establishing criteria for proper implementation, including timelines, responsibilities, frequencies, etc.
6. Assisting Teck QB2 project in the implementation process of controls, providing guidance on validated technologies and methodologies supported by BRASS specialists.
7. Delivering a training plan for all personnel involved in the operation and maintenance of the fluid transport systems.
8. Providing organizational guidelines and directives for the administration of the Pipeline Integrity Management System, aligned with the company’s governance and internal policies.
9. Generating indicators for evaluating the performance of the Pipeline Integrity Management System and the assessment of system integrity status.
10. Conducting evaluation processes and audits of the Pipeline Integrity Management System, analyzing adherence to the implementation plan.
11. Developing an action plan based on identified gaps, which will be part of the continuous improvement process of the Pipeline Integrity Management System.
